Search Engine Optimized

Built with semantic HTML and technical SEO from the ground up.

100% control over content

Content editors have full control of the site without requiring developer's help.

What is Kip, and what did they need

Kip is an Australian business with 30 physical locations. They provide daycare, boarding, training and grooming for dogs. From what I can see, the dogs love it. I have used the words “happy dog” in way too many alt texts in their images, but it simply is true.

What they needed was a new site with a focus on having the site be easily editable by their marketing team. The business has 30 different locations and each one of them has their own location page and landing pages. As you can imagine, the amount of pages scales really fast and you don’t really want to ask developers for edits every time you need to change something. The site should still be custom to provide unique functionality tailored for them. They also wanted the site to be fast and have great SEO. All of that is what I provided.

How I provided what they needed

Their problem was nothing new to me, I have been solving that problem for years now.

Here’s what I did:

  • I used a headless CMS to enable Kip work on any part of the site themselves. Not just edit, but create new content too.
  • The site is a static Next.js site, which makes it faster, securer, and scalable
  • I build my sites with SEO in mind from the ground up and I am a SEO consultant for enterprise companies, so naturally the site is very SEO-friendly
  • The site earns strong scores on Google’s Core Web Vitals metrics. These metrics reflect real user data, so they show how Kip users experience the site, not just how it performs in automated tests.

All green on performance

The site gets all green on the following:

  • Core Web Vitals
  • Mobile Lighthouse scores
  • Desktop Lighthouse scores

In other words, green on everything that matters for SEO.

Design that is clear and feels good to browse

Kip provided the design and I made it reality. I focused on keeping the functionality intuitive and simple so that visitors can get what they came for: information about Kip’s locations and services so that they can book a daycare for their four-legged friend.

The technical HTML structure is optimized for accessibility, AI crawling, and search engine crawling. It makes it clear for all three what the site is about and what each section is for.

Partnership that stands the time

The site has been live since early 2025 now, so these are not some quick thoughts immediately written after the site was made live, I have been providing Kip further development and upkeep ever since the site was live. The testimonials are recent as well. What I provide is a long-term partnership for my clients.

The new website has been an absolute dream to use and Jere did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life while still making it simple to use. Being able to edit the site myself makes my work so much simpler and efficient, and puts the control back in my hands. Jere is also incredibly responsive and is proactive with constantly helping us improve the site when he identifies areas of optimisation.
